Volunteering – A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach

About this course

This half-day session explores, and will help you embed, a human rights and equalities approach to the development and culture of volunteer programmes and to volunteer recruitment.

The course will be especially relevant for you if you are responsible for a volunteering programme or you work with volunteers.

Join us to learn:

  • What a human rights and equalities first approach is.
  • How human rights and equalities are relevant to your volunteering programme.
  • How to apply human rights and equalities to your volunteer recruitment practices and the culture of your volunteering programme.

“I’m keeping the information gained through the session at the forefront of my mind when creating and reviewing policies, processes and procedures.”
– Course feedback from Lali Tudela, Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action Communities Team Manager
