At THRE, we often talk about a Human Rights and Equalities First Approach. This is an approach for putting human rights and equalities at the centre of everything your organisation does, internally and externally. 

This approach is all about adopting policies and practices which prioritise the values of fairness, equality, dignity and autonomy, whilst actively working to prevent discrimination.

It can look different depending on the organisation, it’s work and it’s people. But at it’s heart is the belief that human rights and equalities support third sector organisations to achieve their goals.

THRE Courses

We facilitate regular training sessions on applying the Human Rights and Equalities First Approach to the work of Scotland’s third sector organisations.

Each session is hosted online via Zoom and is completely free. Our training sessions include:
